Website

A Realty Website from Foxstone is special primarily because you can place and remove listings directly from your office (or home) and well as upload photographs of the inside and outside of the property. Additionally, the Newsletter functions, if you choose to use them, will help you keep in touch with your customer base.

The site comes with secure, private Administration pages for your use to modify your website. After your site comes on-line, this will allow you to keep it current without having to rely on (or pay) anyone else.

2. Will my website look like Sample-Realty.com?

Your Realty Website will look any way you wish. You could request that the site appear similar to Sample-Realty, but you will probably want your own Logo(s), buttons, graphics, navigation and branding for your site. The menu could have entirely different choices.

Remember, what makes a Realty Website special, are the Property Listings and Newsletter abilities. In all other respects, your website's look, feel and content is entirely your choice.

Property Listings

Yes, when you have access to the private Administration pages, you can add, remove, and change all aspects of the listings from your desktop.

2. Can more than one person have the ability to change Listings?

Yes, each person in your organization that you wish to have the ability to modify Listings will have a Login and Password of their own.

3. How is my content protected from outsiders?

Your content is protected is protected in two ways:
1. Access to your Realty Website's Administration pages are restricted only to users with a valid Login and Password. (As with all computer based security, it is only as good as the people that use it. Therefore, each person should have their own Login and Password, Logins should not be shared, or written down on Post-Its or the bottom of keyboards, etc.)

2. The Address (or URL) of your Administration pages will be known only to you and others of your organization that have Logins and Passwords. Your Realty Website will not have any clickable links or buttons that point to the Administration pages. This helps prevent casual attempts at unauthorized entry.

4. How do I change Listing descriptions?

There are two steps or pages involved in Listings descriptions. The first step allows you to enter all the General Information about the listing such as title, price, description, property attributes, etc. The second step allows you to add, remove, change all photographs and thumbnails as well as the photograph descriptions.

After Logging In to your Administration pages, select Add a Listing or Edit a Listing. (When choosing Edit a Listing, you now pick which Listing to modify.) You may now input and/or change all the listing items presented on the screen. When you are done, click on Submit this Data to save your input and to proceed to Step 2 (see below).

5. How do I change Photographs and Picture descriptions?

This is Step 2 in the Listing process. After clicking Submit this Data (see above), you will be presented with a screen that allows you to enter the thumbnail photograph as well as up to 6 other views and descriptions of the property. All photographs and descriptions are optional. (Note: Descriptions that do not have photographs will not display on the web.

Make one change at a time on this screen and click the respective "Update" button. After the change is made, you will be returned to the same page to allow you to make additional changes.

6. How may Property Listings can I have at once?

There is no limit on the number of Property Listings you may have other than the overall storage ability of your Website.

Your Realty Website comes standard with 500MB of storage. After allowing several MB for your main website and e-mails, most storage will be consumed by the optional photographs. If you upload LARGE, UNCOMPRESSED photographs, your site may fill up more quickly. If you use photographs of the recommended size, and quality (ex. JPG quality under 50K each) you will easily be able to store several thousand photographs.

7. Can I change or have different Search criteria other than price?

The example listings in Sample-Realty.com show the search ability by price. Your Realty Website can have search criteria tailored to your needs. For example, you may want to also search by Residential vs. Commercial, Sq. Ft., or number of bedrooms, etc.

Newsletter

No, your site does not have to have a newsletter. It is an optional feature that can be included or removed at any time.

2. Why is this newsletter different than SPAM?

SPAM is unsolicited E-Mail, usually commercial in nature. People that send SPAM purport to be good guys by allowing you to OPT-OUT or remove yourself from their list. (You didn't ask to be on their list, why do you need to do anything?)

The Newsletter feature in your Realty Website is driven by your viewers and customers signing themselves up. This is called OPT-IN and they will not be surprised or upset to receive e-mail from you, in fact, they welcome it. They may also remove themselves from the list at any time. (In the Internet community, this is considered a responsible and businesslike method of managing E-Mail lists.)

3. Can I manually add people to the distribution?

Yes, you do have the ability to add customers manually via your Administration pages. Discretion should be used when placing customers on this list to prevent the appearance of SPAM. For more information, please read our Acceptable Use Policy.

4. What kind of e-mails can I send?

The E-Mails that you send using the Newsletter function are generated via an input form on your Administration pages. The content of these E-Mails will be plain text and will not contain any HTML (web code) or attachments. It is recommended that you "pre-edit" the text portion of your message in a separate editor (Wordpad, Office, etc.), then cut & paste into the web form.

Test Drive

A Test Drive is temporary access to the private Administration pages that allow you to control the Listings and Newsletter functions on Sample-Realty.com, just like you would be able on a Realty Website of your own. Your temporary login will be valid for one week to allow you and your staff to test the functionality.

2. How do I apply for a Test Drive?

Simply apply using the Test Drive Request Form and you will receive your temporary Login and Password by return E-Mail.

3. Can I make real changes in the Test Drive?

Yes, all the listings, descriptions, and photographs you post are instantly visible to all viewers, just as they would be in your live site. All sample registrants in the Newsletter section are visible to other "Test Drivers" as well.

4. Does the Newsletter actually send out E-Mails in the Test Drive?

All the functions in the Test Drive of the Newsletter work, except that the messages you may compose do not really get sent via e-mail. This is because there are fictitious e-mail addresses in the database for example purposes as well as e-mail addresses that other "Test Drivers" may have used for testing.

The monthly cost of a Realty Website is $39.95

This includes the hosting of all the pages of your custom website in addition to Property Listing change ability and Newsletter function, 500MB of storage, custom response forms, 50 E-mails, on-line web statistics, and much, much more.

2. How about development to make the site special for my company?

All of the Realty Website features will be integrated with the look and feel of your own custom website.

Your website might range from a single page introduction of your company and how to contact you to a large multi-page, multi-tiered corporate site with pages for each topic and agent. Naturally, the development cost for each type of website will differ based on number of pages, complexity, graphics, etc.

Foxstone offers web development at a flat rate of $60.00/hour. You can begin with our starup special of $299 which provides 8 hours of development (a savings of $180 or over 37%). Development beyond the initial 8 hours would be at our standard billing rate.

This flat rate applies to all web programming, graphics, and data base. All content developed by Foxstone on your behalf is owned by you and may be moved or transferred to another provider at any time.
